Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Recon Intelligence platform and services available at gonerecon.com ("Service"), operated by Recon Intelligence ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Recon Intelligence provides automated business intelligence reports. Our Service analyzes publicly available information about businesses, including website data, search engine presence, social media profiles, online reviews, and other publicly accessible digital footprint data. Reports include a Digital Maturity Score, competitor analysis, and strategic recommendations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind the entity you represent. By submitting information through our intake form, you represent that you have the authority to request a report on the business you submit.

3. Free and Paid Tiers

We offer a free one-time intelligence report and paid subscription tiers (Monitoring and Strategy). Free reports require no payment. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel paid subscriptions at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person or business
  • Submit false or misleading information in the intake form
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the Service beyond the provided intake form
  • Resell, redistribute, or publish reports in their entirety without written permission
  • Use the Service to gather competitive intelligence for the purpose of unfair business practices

5. Data Collection and Use

Our Service collects and analyzes publicly available business data from websites, search engines, review platforms, social media, and other public sources. We do not access private systems, password-protected content, or non-public data. For details on how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Report Accuracy and Limitations

Reports are generated using automated data collection and AI-powered analysis. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Reports reflect publicly available data at the time of generation. Scores, benchmarks, and recommendations are provided as general guidance and should not be the sole basis for business decisions. ROI estimates are projections based on industry averages and may not reflect your specific situation.

Reports are not a substitute for professional consulting, legal, financial, or accounting advice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its scoring methodology, report templates, and analysis framework, is the intellectual property of Recon Intelligence. You receive a non-exclusive license to use reports generated for your business for your internal business purposes. You may share reports with your team, advisors, and partners.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recon Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recon Intelligence from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. For paid subscriptions, cancellation must be initiated through your Stripe billing portal or by contacting hello@gonerecon.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
