Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This policy explains what data Recon collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
What we collect
- Email address — when you sign up for a free or paid account.
- Business information you provide — your company name, website URL, industry, and other details you submit for report generation. These are your business inputs and are not shared with anyone.
- Usage data — basic analytics (pages viewed, report opens) to improve the product. No cross-site tracking.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect payment information directly. Payments are handled by Stripe under their privacy policy.
- We do not collect browsing history, device fingerprints, or personal identifiers beyond your email.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
How we use your data
- To generate and deliver your business intelligence reports.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts).
- To improve Recon based on aggregate usage patterns.
Data retention
We retain your email address and business profile data for as long as your account is active. Report data and analysis snapshots are kept for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted.
If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days.
